We are seeking applicants for the following position(s):
Position:
Environmental Policy Analyst
Company:
Environomics, Inc., a small, innovative environmental policy consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. area
Details:
We seek an individual with a graduate or undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (public policy, economics, environmental science, etc.) and 0 - 8 years of experience in environmental policy analysis. The individual must have very strong analytical skills and the interest/ability to apply analytical techniques across a variety of environmental issues including air and water pollution, drinking water, climate change, and solid and hazardous wastes. While we use economics most frequently, many of our projects involve environmental engineering, law, risk analysis, finance, mathematical modeling, toxicology, survey research, program evaluation, institutional assessment, statistics, environmental science and other disciplines. The applicant must be intellectually agile, able to assemble and make sense of information that may span many disciplines, and must write well. The work will involve data acquisition, analysis, policy research and communicating the results of the work. Ultimately our outputs must be practical rather than academic – we help clients in government and industry make better decisions on the environmental policy issues they face. Only individuals with exceptional intellectual capabilities should apply. Despite our demanding, high-profile projects, Environomics is a friendly, low-key, informal place to work. Experience on drinking water issues will be a plus for our current opening.
Timing:
As soon as possible. This notice was written February, 8, 2007.
